Coaching Philosophy
We empower athletes to become highly technical and thoughtful players, promoting attacking flair, and instilling defensive toughness. This approach ensures holistic development, producing well-rounded players on and off the field.
Competitive Background
Bringing over two decades of coaching expertise to the field, I’ve navigated professional, college, and development levels, drawing on my experience as a former pro and college player. Rooted in the competitive landscape of New York City, my coaching journey reflects a dynamic approach to developing excellence in athletes across diverse stages of their careers.
Coaching Experience
Over the past seven years at Chelsea Piers, I’ve been dedicated to coaching high school-aged soccer teams while concurrently managing our Basis Physical Education program during the school year. This multifaceted role has allowed me to blend my passion for soccer with organizational leadership, contributing to the comprehensive development of young athletes.
Most Memorable Sports Moment
In the summer of ‘96, I had the memorable experience of playing against the Spanish Olympic team in a friendly match while representing the Cocoa Expos. This encounter provided a unique opportunity to compete at an elite level, facing skilled opponents like Raul, Morientes, and de la Pena. The match not only showcased the intensity of international competition but also contributed to my growth as a player within the professional soccer landscape. We got crushed but what a day it was.
